Direct X 9 has it dissappeared?

Featured Replies

Hello All,Figured I'd try the new Directx9, and have gone to download it but it seems it has dissappeared . . . am I using the wrong link or what? Or have they pulled it?Clayton T.DopkeMajor, USAF (retired)"Drac"[email protected]

Opps, sorry, it came right off the Microsoft site, did a search for Directx and it was there on the Microsoft list. I downloaded the .exe from there and it's a download primer, but when I activate the .exe, I geat 'it won't connect', or try later.Clay

Many people, including me, have had that same problem. Not much you can do about it. It just seems like it works for some but not others. In the mean time, I guess we'll just have to stick with 8.2. ;-)Matt

They just posted DX9 RC2 this Saturday. Likely the site is getting heavy hits. Try again during off-peak hours.J

What is the MS link to this site for RC2 for Direct X 9. The original site still has RC0 on the MS web site.CheersBob Johnson

I've tried installing it from a few different sources. It always stops when trying to copy "dsdmoprp.dll" with the message "DirectX did not copy a required file."Win XP Home.
