Hello Pilots!Due to popular demand, v1.8 is now coded and ready for beta testing. This will be a public beta just like the last one.Revisions to 1.80 (from v1.70)* Improved offline winds aloft download process for better success during problematic internet/server conditions* Added automatic time zone detection option (defaults ON) for easier time processing with less confusion* Fixed problem with offline METAR station data fetch when the station did not exist in the cycle set and Update METAR on new station was not checked (would give "Cloud layer conflict in METAR" message and not update METAR properly until REFRESHED)* Changed default TAF Processing option to ON (now that UTC conversion is automatic)* Updated documentation to reflect changesDownload link is:http://www.hifisim.com/wxre18updaterc7.zipChanges in RC2:-Added low-bandwidth winds option to reduce download size (for offline mode). Should help with slower connections but not be as complete in coverage-Fixed error with auto time zone detection (Configuration/Loop Error)-Changed routine at completion of offline auto download - Program no longer automatically closes options window. You must save to exit.-Updated docs to reflect changes/optionsChanges in RC3:- Reduced size of options screen slightly for those in 800x600 res- Fixed problem with voice playback of flightwatch winds direction- Fixed aloft temperature problem when reported as missing (0/null)- Fixed offline aloft problem with searching for proper station IDs (would sometimes get confused with altitude data)Changes in RC4:- Fixed problem with magnetic variation conversion logic in wind directions- Reduced random variation of winds direction so actual winds experienced are more identical to reportsChanges in RC5:- Fixed problem with offline winds where leading zeros in the station ID would cause processing problems, causing errors during winds process- Improved performance slightly during online winds aloft download processChanges in RC6:- Fixed offline winds aloft problem where some stations reporting null winds/temps would be improperly process or ignored (even though SOME valid data exists). This will also help offline winds aloft performance (frame rates) as this error would cause extra processing. Thanks to Steve for his help with this one :)Changes in RC7:- Rewrote winds aloft station search process to solve many problems introduced in RC5 and 6. This solves communications errors and problems finding correct stations.This link will be updated as additional pre-release versions are built.
