December 11, 200223 yr Found a number of blue squares north of Reno, NV and south of Honey Lake. Don't know if you caught these also as I downloaded early this am. Sure looks a lot better tho. I'll wait a day or so before downloading again but I also plan to do the purchase thingy.nutmeat
December 11, 200223 yr Hey Justin, awesome work as usual! will Alaska be included in any betas or just available on the pay version? (fly there mostly!)Thanks, Michaelhttp://www.geocities.com/res052cd/cmhbanner.gif Best, Michael KDFW
December 12, 200223 yr Hi Justin,Thanks for this beta landclass. It looks very good.I found a large canal West of Halifax that does not belong there, I suppose. Take a look at the attached screen shot for coordinates.Best regards,Henri
December 12, 200223 yr Author Commercial Member HI Henri,That's confirmed. It's one of the last "tucks" for the final beta. It's the northern edge of the coverage area. And, just a reminder everyone. Please use the BugTracker, linked off of Your Start menu, FSGenesis, US National Landclass, or under the Support tab at the web site. The BugTracker software is slick and powerful and will allow for a much more organized and complete issue tracking and resolution system. Puts all the issues in one place and will allow me to more easily knock them off one at a time without missing anything. Besides, then we won't need to consume the bandwidth here on bug reporting. :-)ThanksJustinFSG ________________ Justin - Toposim http://www.toposim.net
December 12, 200223 yr Author Commercial Member HI Michael,I have Alaska on the drawing board, but since it's about 97% wilderness to begin with, there won't be a whole lot to do there.:-)I've found some data, but there isn't a state-wide LC dataset.JustinFSG ________________ Justin - Toposim http://www.toposim.net
December 12, 200223 yr Hi Justin,Thanks. I had tried using the BugTracker, but your website did not open the required windows for me. Very strange. I will try again later on. Best regards,Henri
December 12, 200223 yr Justin,Clicking the tabs on your site does not do a thing for me. It just makes a clicking noise and that's it. I use IE5.Best regards,Henri
December 12, 200223 yr Author Commercial Member HI Henri,Go here:http://java.sun.com/getjava/download.htmlShould solve the problem. If not, click Start, Programs, FSGenesis, US National Landclass, BugTracker.ThanksJustinFSG ________________ Justin - Toposim http://www.toposim.net
December 12, 200223 yr All the airport/nav data for north Texas and south Okl. are gone after installing Beta 5 when you look in FS2002's map view? You cannot select any airports in that area now? Eric
December 12, 200223 yr Author Commercial Member HI Eric,No idea about that one. There's nothing in US National Landclass that could effect any of that stuff. TM/LC BGLs have nothing to do with that type of data.??JustinFSG ________________ Justin - Toposim http://www.toposim.net
December 12, 200223 yr Hi Justin, Maybe I am just dense, but where are your Landclass files located and what are the file names. I would like, if possible, go back to Landclass beta 4, can I selectively remove files??Thanks,Jim
December 12, 200223 yr Author Commercial Member HI Jim,There's one file named "fsglc_us.bgl" and it's found in the scenery folder.JustinFSG ________________ Justin - Toposim http://www.toposim.net
December 12, 200223 yr Justin,I just tried Beta 5 over Minneapolis. Great program! I tried to file a bug report at your site but it doesn't recognize me so I'll try to tell you here.Part of what makes Minneapolis such a great city to live in is its chain of four modest lakes just to the west/southwest of the downtown area -- but at the moment you are only showing two. One of my disappointments with MS2K2 has been that one of the lakes is rendered as brown dirt but that's no longer apparent. However there are several brown texture areas (almost has the look of spilled paint)that should be green and suburban similar to the adjacent textures. Thanks!Don
December 12, 200223 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Don,Thanks for the report. I'll have Minneapolis fixed for the final beta.On the BugTracker you have to click "Create New Account".ThanksJustinFSG ________________ Justin - Toposim http://www.toposim.net
