May 10, 200323 yr Maybe it's just a NOAA problem today but the newest release candidate seems to be the worst yet.I'm really getting to detest that damn "boop" sound with a wxRE dialog box pissing and moaning about something or another. Offline mode in particular seems worse than ever. Is anyone else having better luck?
May 10, 200323 yr It's the NOAA servers - both servers for online and offline data have been down for hours. It's nothing to do with RC6, I believe, and nothing Damian can change right now. Things will be better with a private server with V2.0, I hope. Then again, I just swapped in offline files of a couple of days back and am flying with those. Just gotta set the correct time in FS and let wxRe use FS time for processing (RC6 works fine). The weather was better anyways than it is now... :-lolPeter
May 10, 200323 yr Servers have been crap all day, switched to FSMeteo and got real-time d/l's with no probs. Eric
May 12, 200323 yr He'd better get reliable servers with v1.8 or no one is going to believe/buy into v2!I'm sorry....but it always seems like the "next" version is going to be the one to provide satisfaction. This past week I've had to return to FSMeteo. There's something to be said for consistency.gwillmot
May 12, 200323 yr I think it might be useful for ActiveSky to package a few sets of complete wx data for download and use while the server issue is being resolved. It would be nice to include some real aviation charts (i.e. winds aloft, surface depictions, prog charts, and radar summaries) for the same time frame as well.Even after the servers are sorted out, having some typical (or atypical) wx packages on the shelf might be a nice thing still. A canned wx package captured from a real Nor'Easter, a hurricane, or from a major fog event etc would interest me and probably others. The wx "scenarios" could be zipped up and uploaded to avsim and/or flightsim.com for distribution there.CheersBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case

May 13, 200323 yr Commercial Member Bob thanks for the excellent suggestions... I will work on that..And as Jim asked please do re-post this in the 2.0 thread at the top of the forum so it doesn't get missed :) Thanks!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
