AS2004 and FSFlightmax

Featured Replies

Hi Damian,Thanks for the quick reply to my email. Just tested sitting at a couple of airports reporting weather events. The integration works fine. All precipitations aeras were shown in FSFlightMax. I noticed that unlike ActiveSky Wxre you did not include the FSFlightMax as an option but rather AS2004 generates automatically the wx-export.met file in the ...modulesAS2004 directory. It may be useful for some users to have the option to save the wx-export.met file generated by AS2004 to a diffenrent folder. I am especially thinking about those of us who have FSFlightMax on the remote. Would that be a major task to have this option obviously in the option page?Michael

Could you post a screenshot of FSFlightMax with AS2004 weather data when it does!?Thanks,sg

Hi sg, I never took a screenshot before so I'll have to look up the right key presses. If I manage that I'll certainly post something once I catch the right moment. Regards,

I have it up and running with displays on both ActiveRadar and FSFlightmax radar screens but I can't find how to take screenshots. This is probably the wrong place to ask but could anyone please tell me if it is possible to take a screenshot without additional software, or if not, what software do I need? I'm hoping for a quick answer while I have a good working display!

I forgot to mention that I made a mistake with the Flightmax.ini information I posted earlier. Although I could select the generated .met file from Flightmax settings, nothing was showing on the Flightmax radar. The added backslash at the end of the last line fixed it so here it is again but corrected. ActiveSkyActive=1ActiveSkyDirectory=C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9ModulesActiveSky2004

I sorted out the screenshot anyway so I hope it shows up OK! Sorry I don't know how to make it show here (if that's allowed). Can anyone help?

After typing your text go down to "click here to choose your attachments". Then browse to the .jpg file on your computer.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi Jim, I did that the first time and it just won't show up with the message. I read the forum faq and it seems that such postings have to be approved first. No apparent instructions on how to get that approval.

Hi Jim, I don't see a way of sending an attachment by email from here so I'll send it to Damian OK?

Yes, I should have remembered that. Had a lot of other "stuff" on my mind yesterday. That would be fine!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Thanks Damian! Looks good. Should be interesting for others who do not use Flightmax to see how the displays compare.
