December 14, 200223 yr Just bought ActiveSky wxRE and I think it's excellent. I've been an FS Meteo since the very first version and I can say without a doubt that I'm an X FS-Meteo user. I'm grateful to Marc Philbert for creating FS Meteo because the default FS real weather engine stinks.I'm very impressed with ActiveSky wxRE and it's definitely worth the money. My only gripe is that there is no winds aloft information avialable outside the US (althought the manual does say they're working on this). I fly most of my routes outside the US.Erichttp://www.cpavirtual.org/images/flyingtigerbanner.jpghttp://www.cpavirtual.orghttp://www.flysva.orghttp://Thai.virtualATP.orghttp://JAL.virtualATP.orghttp://Malaysia.virtualATP.orghttp://Asiana.virtualATP.orghttp://Hawaiian.virtualATP.org Eric Thornton
December 14, 200223 yr Commercial Member Alan,Sorry for the trouble you experienced at the Emetrix site. Yes it should be easy and user friendly and 99% of customers so far have had no problems. There are a handful of users who have had problems, but this is still a small percentage. Emetrix is telling me that there was some kind of error in the entry form, probably something with the billing address or CC verification #. Regardless of why this is happening, you can go to the Emetrix support site at http://www.emetrix.com/cs and they can help you place your order there.Again, sorry for the troubles you have experienced and let me know if there is anything I further that I can do... Thanks.-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 15, 200223 yr From what i've heard, i feel i wasted 30$ on FsMeteo. Yes it's a noce utility and it's certainly bettern than FS2k2 weather, but hey, for 30$ i would expect a faultless programme, beacause it's a simple program, but 20% of the times i use it i get problems, it has caused 250 knots surface winds, it hangs up a lot etc. Yes Marc has provided a great support, but this isn't about 5$ programme i'be bought. If i'd have known that a program like activesky (14$)was going to be available before i got FsMeteo, i wouldn't have gotten it. I think many of you here are like trying to defend FsMeteo just because is a friendly guy who made it. I'm certainly glad he is, but i think this isn't all you expect when you pay. Henrique
December 15, 200223 yr ...and that's what delaying my purchase too, since I'm currently flying outside the US. As anybody ever seen a table comparing FS addons for their ability to interact without problems? December 15, 200223 yr You should have seen Lake Tahoe yesterday ;-) Pretty good visibility, but winds 180 @ 53 Gusts 73 ;-)I'm not kidding either, I thought that runway would never get there ;-)
