December 23, 200520 yr I get this error message:"Unable to restore Texture folder... Access to path D:Program FilesProgram FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9TextureThumbs.db denied"Greg Greg Clark
December 24, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi,Is that the actual message or was that a typo with the double Program Files entries? Can you confirm you have write access enabled, i.e. this share on the FS machine should have "Allow network users to change my files" checked. ?Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 24, 200520 yr Commercial Member FWIW you can always manually restore by copying the backup texture folder to the FS9Texture folder. Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 24, 200520 yr Author Damian,Sorry the double Program files was a typo. I enabled "allow network users..." and I still get the same message. Otherwise on properties it states Read only, with no othe options.Greg Greg Clark
December 24, 200520 yr >I get this error message:>>"Unable to restore Texture folder... Access to path D:Program>FilesProgram FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator>9TextureThumbs.db denied">>Greg"Thumbs.db" is not needed by FS9. It is automatically created by Windows Explorer for quick loading of graphic files thumbnails when in "thumbnail" view. Windows considers it a "system" file and marks it "system" and "hidden". This is why the ASv6 restore can't copy it back, and is the source of the error. It can safely be deleted. Delete it from the ASv6 backup directory, then try the restore again. (If you can't see it, you will need to change your folder options to view hidden files.)Damien, the ASv6 backup routine may want to ignore this file, or toggle the flags during the restore....jim
December 24, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi Jim,Thanks for the info..Yep, we'll be bypassing any future attempts at copying hidden/system/read-only files as obviously they are not going to make it back to FS9Texture.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 26, 200520 yr Good stuff. And I'll try to spell your name correctly in the future. Sorry about that....jim
