Damian,Thanks for the info. The only part that I don't see is that the entire flight area I flew in, and the surrounding wxr stations for at least 200nm were all overcast during the storm we had here in southern Ontatrio...there were no stations reporting anything other than OVC...this is why I could not figure out why I didn't see an overcast, there was nothing but overcast wxr surrounding me that could be blended in to produce a broken or other cloud condition.Cheers,Rob.

>#3 The report of "I can see overcast on the ground but not>when climbing above" is a common one. This is not overcast>that you are seeing on the ground, but rather the reduced>visibility. All cloud layers are visible from both above and>below. Visibility, however, clears as you climb (because of>graduation, which can be disabled) and you unfortunately won't>see the "low vis" below you. There's been much discussion>about all this recently.I think we all understand this, Damian, BUT ;-)This situation was not happening in the earlier releases of AV6. I flew out of KFSO this afternoon for CYEG, and the same thing occurred. Socked in on the ground, and then once through the haze that accompanies the local WX, poof! clear skies. This well could be the limitations of FS9 but something in our setups is doing this. Setting graduated vis did not cause this before as I recall. :+ Ron McLeod_CYEGhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg

Hi guys,Thanks for the feedback.I haven't seen anything like this in testing and other than this thread have no reports. Something could be amiss perhaps related to options? If anyone can give a flight .pln and specific weather date/time in use along with the asv6.ini which produces this kind of problem, please send it to me at [email protected] and I will definitely attempt to reproduce and see what is going on here. Thanks!
