May 10, 200719 yr Fabrizio, to make it clear for me, how should the 2 aternatives look? Can you please give the examples, like: 5-1-1 or 5-1-5 etc. And what do you have in your settings? Thanks.
May 10, 200719 yr Hi Fabrizio,Because 5,5,5 are the default values, hard coded into the freeware version of FSUIPC. I was wanting Dirk to start at a default level.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
May 10, 200719 yr Jim, since I'm using the commercial version, would you still recommend 5,5,5,5 to me in the meanwhile, until Fabrizio answers this and says something different? Sorry, guys, for so many questions, but you're almost done with me, I promise. :)Many thanks.

Can you please give the examples, like:>5-1-1 or 5-1-5 etc. And what do you have in your settings?>>Thanks.I'ts quite simple:In wind smoothing page (the first pict in your message) In the left part of windows you have 4 check boxes the upper one is to activate the wind smoothing. The wind smoothing work in 2 modes:first field: you can choose how many degrees and knots of wind can change every second.second field: you can choose how many second to spend for changing 1 degree and 1 knot of windIf you put 3 in the first field the wind will change with a range of 3 degrees and 3 knots every second: in 10 second will change 30 degree and 30 knots,If you put 8 in the second field the wind speed and direction will change 1 knot and 1 degrees every 8 seconds 1/8 degree and 1/8 knot every second.example: you are passing in a new weather zone and the wind is changing from 320/56 to 310/36 10 degrees and 20 knots of differenceIf you put 5 in first field the speed will change in 4 secs and the direction will change in 2 secsIf you put 5 in the second field the speed will change in 100 secs and the direction in 50 secsI don't know if 1 of them has priority, but to be sure you should put the number you like in the option you choose and 0 in the other one The 3rd field is to smooth when you reset the weather, this happens, for instance, when you restart AS during the flight.I hope is clearReguardsFabrizio
