HiI have bundled version and fsx sp1 installed. Hardware is pretty good, intel e6600 and 8800gtx.This new asx and x graphics are so overhelming i'm a little bit confused with them.So i'm asking about little tutorial howto config/run these programs to get most realistic real time weather and visual looks in fsx. Thanks in advance,Kimmo Leskinen

Hi!Here are the steps:1) Run ASX, initialize, briefing, input your flightplan2) You'll be asked to install X Graphics wx-infleunced textures.. do this3) Start FSXThat's it!

Hello,I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with questions about ASX!There is nothing in the ASX documentation explaining what to do in FSX.Questions:1) a) In ASX, do we have to input a flight plan every time? I want to free flight around my local airport. 1) :( Do we have to set the same flightplan in FSX?2) In FSX, what to do (and not do) with all the weather parameters in free flight... Does it change something? Does it overwrite the asx wheather? Once I will master ASX, can we say that I will never touch that button again?3) a) What happen with the weather if I input a flight plan in ASX in Japan, and I takeoff from my local airport in Canada? The flight plan of asx becomes irrelevant?3) :( If I want the blue sky of Cuba here in Canada, is it how we do it?Thanks

Not trying be a smarta$$, but did you read the documentation? The 3rd section "Configuring ASX and FSX" describes very clearly how to deal with the settings in FSX - there's even a screenshot included...

If I'm not mistaken, "Configuring ASX and FSX" only tell how to setup the parameters of weather (tweaking details) to avoid having a FPS hit.Nothing about interaction between ASX and FSX for getting ready for a Free flight. My question is: Do I have to touch to the weather system window in FSX (free flight) now that I have ASX?

Thanks,So what about my questions above... I suppose I will figure it out by myself one day by testing all the possibility. I'm too excited by the release of this software. I want to understand everything on my first flight. :)Nice job HiFi!

Hi,Questions are good!1a. No you can just fire things up and fly!1b. No2. Right, in that you will never touch that button again. There are some things to set for clouds and such. Look in the document under Configuring ASX & FSX for more information.3a. The weather will change accordingly. Yes and no. Yes, because your route and route data are different. No, because the weather will still be accurate for your location.3b. You would need the same type of weather that is in Cuba in Canada.Need to ask: did you also purchase the X-Graphics program?Look this stuff over and ask about more if you need to!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
