May 31, 200719 yr I have spent the last 3 hrs trying to get ASX to connect to FSX. I have triple checked all setting and can get simconnect to connect to AI traffic as per the test in the manual. Everything checks out OK but cannot get any weather to display in FSX. I have attached 2 logs files one is the log from ASX and the other in a edited version of simconnect log. The original file was nearly 1 Meg. I really need help with this. I would credit myself with reasonable network knowledge... what am I missing.Andrew
May 31, 200719 yr Hi AndrewCould you show us what you have in your simconnect.cfg and also simconnect.xmlHave you opened the ports on the server and client?Plus could you give us the location where you have put each file.ThanksCarl Hackmanhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-dev-sigbanner.jpg
June 1, 200719 yr Commercial Member Hi Andrew,I just noticed in your log that there is another weather application running... this can be causing conflicts.. are you using FSInn or Squawbox etc? If so you need to disable weather them to allow ASX to set the weather. Can you confirm?Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies

June 1, 200719 yr Author Guys,Progess has been made, I have been able to connect to FSX... thanks for the pickup. I still appear to have a problem I cannot get the X Gauage to display and data. I am not sure if it has anything to do with the log. See attached log from ASXThanks for your help.Andrew21:15:08: Starting depiction output to FSX21:15:15: Exception received: 1421:15:25: Exception received: 1421:15:26: Exception received: 1421:15:37: Exception received: 1421:15:46: Exception received: 1421:15:54: Exception received: 1421:15:56: Exception received: 1421:16:00: Exception received: 1421:16:02: Exception received: 1421:16:15: Exception received: 1421:16:18: Exception received: 1421:16:20: Exception received: 1421:16:42: Exception received: 1421:16:49: Exception received: 1421:16:49: Exception received: 1421:16:51: Exception received: 1421:17:00: Exception received: 1421:17:02: Exception received: 1421:17:07: Exception received: 1421:17:13: Exception received: 1421:17:24: Exception received: 1421:17:25: Exception received: 1421:17:26: Exception received: 1421:17:43: Exception received: 14
June 1, 200719 yr Funnily enough i had this same problem(Exception received:14) but it seemed to just disappear. There is a thread below/above where a fix was posted for this.I do however have the problem with the X Guage not working. It just stays with a blank screen and "New Imagery Downloading" on it, but no map. Also i get no voice playback on tuning channel 122.00 although i do get this 16:22:24: Voice script playback complete16:22:37: Starting voice script playback...16:22:37: Voice script playback complete16:22:51: Starting voice script playback...16:22:51: Voice script playback completeconstantly in the log, showing that it sees the channel is tuned to 122.00.If i run ASX on the same machine as FSX i have no problems at all, everything works fine, but on a network i experience these 2 problems above.
