October 19, 200718 yr Sounds like some awesome products coming down the line. I have a question or clarification about X Planner. Does "totally integrated" mean that this planner will run inside or outside of FSX. Will it be similar to FS Nav or FS Build or am I misunderstanding the purpose of this tool. Thanks Mike Keigley
October 19, 200718 yr Hi,Outside FSX like FSB does. If there is a display, then that will run insde FSX like X Gauge does.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 19, 200718 yr I hope it does allow for customization of the route description. The screen shot shows it using dashes. I would like dots so I cold cut and paste and save me some typing. Also hope it gives things like fuel usage and alternative airports for the flight.http://www.virtualpilots.org/signatures/vpa475.png John VeldthuisSpecs: ASUS X79-DELUXE | Intel Core i7-5960X Extreme @ 4.2Ghz | Gigabyte GeForce GTX980 | 32GB Ram | Cooler Master HAF 932 case | ASUS PB279Q, 4K UHD, 27" Monitor | Windows 8.1 | Segate 2x2TB 7200rpm drives, SanDisk 2x256GB SSD| Corsair Hydro Series H105, Watercooling kit
October 19, 200718 yr Commercial Member Hi,The shots shown are simply concept trials.... And the final product will most likely look much different.I can say that the route will be able to be displayed in several fashions including in typical coded route format.Fuel usage and alternates, DPs and STARs, IAPs and much more will all be included. Our vision is a very realistic and powerful flight planning system with no holds barred :)There is a display gauge planned somewhat similar to XGauge for ASX, but the main application will be run outside of FSX, on another computer if desired.Since we are still in the early development stages, now is a great time to send us suggestions and wish list items! Our [email protected] address is setup specifically for this!Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
October 19, 200718 yr Moderator Hi Damian,<>With respect just take a look at FSNavigator and model yours on that as closely as you can. This probably-now-obsolete product was the benchmark flight planning / moving map program for FS for many years.Sadly, the prospect of future development of FSNav looks bleak so if you guys can come up with something close to it (plus your wonderful graphics) you will corner the market. However, the prospect of waiting another 12 months for a finished product is depressing. Clear the decks and throw everyone into XPlanner. This is one product that is desperately needed now.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England).
