November 18, 200817 yr What's wrong here again? I get a long message starting with the above Error every time I launch ASX (right after the initial loading) now. I reinstalled the OS (WinXP SP2) on my Client and did the following:1.From SDK SP2 on Server I copied SimConnect.msi to the Client and ran it.2.SimConnect.cfg on Client is in My Documents folder and reads the following:[simConnect]Protocol=IPv4Address=FSXPort=500MaxReceiveSize=4096DisableNagle=0*FSX is the name of my Server. 3.Main ASX program installed4.ASX SP3 installed5.SimConnect.cfg & Simconnect.ini on the Server reside in the proper folders. Simconnect.cfg on the Server reads:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>SimConnectSimConnect.xmlFalseFalseIPv4global FSX 645004096FalseFalseAutolocal6.Firewalls are disabled.7.Shares (on the Server):FsxFlight Simulator X FilesFsxFSXFsxFlight Simulator X FilesWhat's wrong? WideClient on the Clients work ok btw.Thanks,Dirk.
November 18, 200817 yr Author No Accelleration here, only SP2 but I don't want/can't reinstall my FSX SP2. Why? I did everything clean. Reading up on the similar posts. I don't have Acceleration to uninstall it.
November 18, 200817 yr Hi,Does the AI Traffic Utility work OK running from the client?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

The so-called "solution" that you suggested to Acceleration users has worked here too, on just FSX SP2 sans Acceleration. But the decision you made in your software is not fair to the majority of your righteous customers. Because, being a legitimate and conscientious user of the officially supported current FSX software, I have to roll back (and occasionally screw up my FSX installation) just because you want to pander to a few SP1 users who don't care or defy to upgrade to the officially supported FSX SP2 software. Ridiculous and not fair. But since you are always so good and fast with your support (the best I know) I can only wind up by saying I'm happy now, your software is finally working as advertised.

Now I had not installed ASX since my HD was hozed and I had to reinstall FSX (Accel ) and the many SDKs. It took me multiple installs to get my SDKs all in a row. Now, When I installed ASX, I am unable to connect to FSX. "Simconnect (SP1 version) was notm able to be loaded....." There is no way I am going to be unistalling FSX components to make this stinking simconnect to work again! I can't use my ASX. I wish this was connected via FSUIPC instead.Sheesh! December 13, 200817 yr Possibly not relevant here but Al Jordan's post needs a regular airing. It was the defining moment after many failed attempts that finally saw Simconnect and ASX working (and I still think it should be pinned). Happy holidays all :( William Hall

Happy holidays all :(What happens if I get Flight Simulator X: Gold Edition?Would that help or would that not work at all?The real hesitation for me is..not reinstalling FSX...its reinstalling all the payware addons. I have tonnes of scenery and aircrafts that I would have reinstall. Not a good solution at all. No Fun!Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
