The increased power on the 6800U being the 40 Million-or-so more transistors, being used for the L2 Texture Cache which the ATI doesn't have.

May 6, 200422 yr However a watercooled X800XT.... It all about temps. The R420 run a lot cooler than the NV40 thus they can clock it faster. Also requiring less power greatly helps stability too.HIS for example already have an aircooling solution which drops the temps on the X800 PRO 11 degrees.
