Featured Replies

Can anybody recommend some first class headphones for listening to FS9 when the wife's gone to sleep and I want to sim alone at midnight without disturbing the family? Thanks!JS

My wife got me a set of Sennheiser HDR-120's for Christmas and they are just great. I never knew how nice it was to have something wireless. Getting rid of the cord is wonderful and the sound quality is superb. And when you're not flying, you can fire up the stereo, MP3 player, DVD player, or whatever, and be free to roam around anywhere in the house (or the yard). Great stuff.Doug

Hi Jonathan,Sennheiser produce fine units, I used one for many years. My current one is a Vivanco SR2000, expensive but one of the most comfortable I have had with excellent sound. If you like to go shopping, check your local HiFi dealers and watch out for sales. More and more wireless sets are sold, you should be able to find two or three "wired" sets for a good price that suit your needs. We had a thread about this topic a while ago, search for "sennheiser uwe" to bring it up!Eidt: Crossed answers with Doug, but I think we complemented each other nicely! :-)

I use the Technics RP-DJ1200 headphones for all my audio needs :) Great for movies, music listening and production and of course, FS9.

Bose QuietComfort are a good choice. Work REALLY well on the real thing too. I won't get on a jet without them.

You could try moving the 'P.C' to another room? All the best,Dave.'Three greens and soft landings'

If fs and games is your only use, wireless phones or fairly cheap corded ones are OK. But I like to hook mine up to the stereo for music and movies too (often stay up late at night), so I have a pair of Sennheiser HD580s, which are rather pricey, but have superb sound that no wireless units can offer (and only very expensive loudspekers can compete). These are technally and soundwise very similar to the top-of-the-range HD650 model, but far cheaper, and very good value for money, especially in the US. In Europe the HD595 would often be a better buy.-
