December 11, 200520 yr I am looking at upgrading my PC and it looks like the dual core processors are getting more attention than the hyperthreading processors. It appears that FS9 does not currently take advantage of the dual core processor, but is anyone currently using the dual core processor? How does it appear to affect FS9 performance? Thanks for any suggestions!Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.

December 11, 200520 yr Commercial Member I have one - doesn't do much in FS at the moment because FS isn't multithreaded. Hopefully the next version will be. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

Hopefully the next version will be.<< Yeah, I also hope the studios use the extra time to adopt to current and upcoming hardware. :-) Out of curiousity, I wonder whether you gentlemen have tried to i.e. allocate FS to core #2 and all the rest plus eventual addons to core #1? @ John, you might find this article interesting... http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2629&p=4It's about the 5.12 Catalyst and dual-core support Cheers, good luck and kind regards Jaap

Will a dual-core CPU help out when running, for example, FS9 along with ActiveSky V? Or does it not help out? Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
