December 26, 200520 yr Has anyone found a good supplier for the Dell 2405 monitor? I just bought a new PC without the monitor and was looking at the 2405. I think Dell wants over $1000 for one. I know there are some sites that sell them for about $850, but I wanted some suggestions from this forum before I made a decision. Thanks for any suggestions!Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.
December 27, 200520 yr check out EBay, there are many........but remember, CRT's are much cheaper and many times better for FS
December 27, 200520 yr Nah! forget CRT's. Too bulky. Dell LCD's are spectaculor. If you can get a 24" for $800 grab it Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
December 27, 200520 yr Author I think I just missed an opportunity to get one for about $800 over the holidays; I think everyone jacked up their prices. I bought a new PC, but will have to wait until the price comes down to get the 2405 monitor. Not to worry, I have my trusty Dell 21" CRT to keep me busy.Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.
December 28, 200520 yr >but remember, CRT's are>much cheaper and many times better for FSSorry, I have to disagree. This maybe true of older, slower models, but it doesn't ring true with the latest and greatest. I changed from a CRT to an LCD and never looked back.
