>You characterize critics as "bashers"...I characterize product>cheerleaders as a "glee club." I don't respect people...but>you do?No Bob... I said you redirected the thread to Bash FSD. I did not say critics are "bashers".Obviously you are incapable of polite discourse so I wont waste anymore of Avsims bandwidth trying to discuss this with you.

>More to the point... This thread was not started as a>complaint or a question of FSD's practices yet you have>immediately diverted the thread in that direction. I offered up a couple suggestions...and yes, I threw in a quip about the ongoing keygen hoo-ha.If you really are so tired of these threads going this way, why did you elect to engage me on it? Any diversion that happened here was our mutual effort...each of us escalating a little more on each return volley.Personally, I find the debate necessary and useful...in this thread or its own dedicated one. There are some substantive issues surfacing...like surreptitious scanning of users' computers. And the original poster managed to get the help he asked for along the way.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

Thanks for taking what was supposed to be a support thread derailing it into an "FSD is evil" flame war. Very mature, very mature...

>That's very good advice, Bob. You should take it.>.....>>Regards,>>http://www.fsd-international.com/team/Steve_signature.gifGood answer Steve:-roll very professionalI have not had a problem with FSD,Steve Small or my Cessna c337 since I removed it and took all traces of thier product from my system.Life is good again.Brent

I doubt you'll gain much help here given that you have presented very little info about your system and configuration (we do know that you own a Creative sound card, so that's a step in the right direction). Plenty of knowledgeable folks here to assist but it's incredibly time consuming trying to guess what users are dealing with while not knowing as much as possible about their hardware and system config.Hope you get it sorted,Greg

Oops! forgot to add the system specs, my bad!Its a 2.2GHZ P4 with WinXP home, a Geforce FX5900, 512MB ram, and a 120BG HDD.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!FSD made things right, and refunded my money. As for the keygenerator goes, I am definitely going to have my PC cleaned, and XP reinstalled. Thank you everyone for your advice, and support. I would like to say that I was not starting a flame war against FSD international. That was not my intent at all. My post was made to address my issue with FSD, not to flame them. Sorry for causing such a racket in your thread. I would like the forum admins remove my thread immediately.ThanksWarren

Thanks for the update and honesty. -Douglas

You can't carpet-bomb the neighborhood with napalm and then say "I didn't mean to start such a big fire." You addressed your issue with FSD *by* flaming them. Not that I think you had much of a choice. But revisionist spin in the aftermath doesn't change the nature of what was done. Some of us do appreciate having the situation brought to our attention. All's well that ends.Bob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

"Oops! forgot to add the system specs, my bad!Its a 2.2GHZ P4 with WinXP home, a Geforce FX5900, 512MB ram, and a 120BG HDD."And your Sound Acceleration slider in DxDiag? Is it set like this:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/140463.jpgAlso, did you try as suggested above... changing out some of the sound files and reconfiguring the Sound.cfg to reflect the changes? This need only be done for testing purposes. You would of course save the aircraft's original sound folder to a safe location.Another thing you might consider trying if your motherboard has on-board sound... remove the Creative card and try the onboard just to see if anything changes.Greg

Yes, my Dxdiag sound window for the Sb Live (for some reason I have four)sound tabs, is set up like that. I have tried swapping out sound files, but I can't seem to track down which sound file is causing the issue. Does FS mix sounds from two different files to get transitions or something?

"Does FS mix sounds from two different files to get transitions or something?"FSD would offer the best answer to this.Does your motherboard have sound? If so, you should consider pulling the Creative card and testing the aircraft with the motherboard's sound. Also, what motherboard do you have? You should read this: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=search and use that tool to find what your device latencies are. A screen shot of the Latency cfg. display would be helpful here.GregP.S. Don't be surprised if this thread gets moved to the Hardware forum.

That's really strange. After FSD and myself failing to get the Skymaster installed on my machine they told me they didn't make refunds on downloaded products. So I'm out the price of the Skymaster and never got to use it. ??Dewey

I'm not sure what mobo is in my PC since I didn't build it myself. I beleive it's an Asus, but I'm not 100% sure. Can I disable the sound card from within Xp, or do I have to physically disconnect it?
