I think I'll give them a whirl based on my current dilemma spoken about here: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=326577&page=As reported: "These increases are stated by ATI themselves as being due to the following: 'Optimizations made to ATI

HMMM, ATI can't seem to get anything right. With the Cat 6.1 series on the sim UI is very slow and my whole system drags. With these 6.8's much the same and now I can't run dual monitors in full screen mode - guage windows won't display it brings my 'puter to it's knees. Wonder if this a .Net 2.0 issue - I am only running 1.1 ?? ATI says it should work (NO CCC btw, just ATITray tools). OH well.

I have been using the ATI Catalyst 6.x drivers with CCC and have had very good performance, to the point of not using Omega drivers any more. I found that 6.8 may have only improved frames to a very small extent, if at all(FS is CPU bound most of the time), but it does look like there are some improvements in anisotropic filtering. I have observed good performance throughout on two systems with X800XT and X1900XTX cards.

I only have 1.1 and I think that would only affect the CCC, which I don't use. The drivers themselves seem fine with performance and IQ, but it's just the lag. I went back to the Cat 5.13's today and there is no UI lag and dual monitors work fine. Anyone with some ideas?
