New FSX demo 9/29 CH Pedals STILL porked

Featured Replies

I still get the stuck brake issue using my CH Pro Pedals USB with the new demo (trial) version of FSX. And before you say so, yes, I checked that the brake axes were reversed.Where's the fix MS said would be in the final (assuming that the new trial is based on final bits)? For those that have the "final" version, is the problem really fixed???

thats interesting...i wonder why it happens with some and not with others because i have the same pedals and have not experienced that in FSX yet. Have you tried adding in a little more null to the brake axis? CH products have some of the worst inner electrics in the business so perhaps the few that are having this issue are also having some inherit pot problems which theyre not even aware of yet...who knows.Dave

I have the Pro Pedals USB and they work fine in the second demo. They were porked in the first one though.Cheers,Chris Porter:-outtaPerthWestern Australia

Hi, the problems with the pedals are gone with the final demo. Jan-Paul

Works fine in both demo versions here. As with FS9, make sure you check the "reverse axis" check box for both the left and right brakes and rudder. Also your sensitivites need to have a touch of dead-zone for the raw zero value, otherwise, any signale fluctuations can cause the calibration to be interpreted as increasing.I suggest you install the CH Control manager software and use "mapped mode". Calibrate the CH devices with the Control manager software first using direct mode and then check the calibration in mapped mode. Notice the raw values for zero and max on all CH devices, they will be rock-solid 0 and 255 with no stutters. Then in FS9 or FSX setup the axis and sensitivities.Works like champ this way for me since FS8.Good luck.

I had this problem in the first demo but in the fileplanet beta it was fixed.

FIXED! There was one little setting in CH Control Manager I was overlooking:Clicked on the Test/Calibrate button, selected CH ProPedals USB, then clicked on the Axis Settings tab, cleared the check mark from the "Center" box for the X Axis and Y Axis and presto, pedals wrok fine now.One other issue though but don't know if it relates to the pedals - when I press on the "." key or the joystick button assigned to "Brakes" ("repeat" is also on) BEFORE applying the brakes using the pedals, the brakes work as expected. If I use the key or button AFTER applying the brakes using the pedals, I get no brake response. The only way to initiate the brakes is via the pedals.Kind of a pain when I want to easily apply even braking. I have tried deleting the Brakes key and button assignment and reassigning but no luck.Any ideas?

>One other issue though but don't know if it relates to the>pedals...Obviously this does have something to do with the pedals. Was testing and writing this message simultaneously. Should have changed this before posting. Too late to edit now.
