CH Throttle Quad Info???

Featured Replies

Can someone here comment on how well they like their CH Throttle Quad? I have the USB yoke and pedals and love them. Although I have a 737NG flight deck project Im working on, I also am working on a generic sim too and I am thinking of adding the CH 6 lever TQ to the project. ALSO, can you please post the external deminsions for me LxWxH and Height of levers so that I can incorporate that into my design?ThanksEric T

Go to the search menu, type in CH Throttle. Read the 122 threads that result. Allcott

AlcottYou really anger me,with your negative attitude towards people that ask a simple question.Sarcasm really Peeves me off steve

You know what angers me? People like you who come here to mouth off and actually contribute nothing. Nothing at all. Why didn't YOU use the opportunity to answer the question? There is no sarcasm in my answer, typed while I was at work and on a break. And if you think there is then YOU have the problem.Allcott

I love my CH throttle quad. It is superb and works great ALL the time. I have 4 engines programmed and it works for 1,2,3, and 4 engined props and jets. The other two levers are for prop speed and mixture. Using FSUIPC I have programmed reverse thrust as well. I love this puppy. Small and neat, inexpensive, and adds a whole dimension of reality and immersion that is super and very challenging to the dedicated simmer. I am 101% delighted with my quad.I'll go measure and post again.JSP.S. I have CH Yoke and rudder pedals too. Also very good. Never go out on me and work great. I have programmed TOGA on the Yoke as well. I use a ton of GoFlight hardware as well with all this and everything works perfectly all the time.

I'm also a satisfied user of the CH Throttle Quadrant. I have used it almost every day for over a year with no problems. I use FSUIPC to assign and calibrate all the functions, but CH provides a control program which also works well, once past the learning curve. However, if you are a helicopter pilot, you might be better off with the CH Pro Throttle - a single lever that is very smooth and has no detents and would give better control at low engine settings.Dale

Thanks for pointing out there's 122 threads that result from a search. Very helpful there. I specifically asked for anyone with the unit if they could please post dimensions. If I overlooked them, then I apologize. Thanks to the others with a vote of confindence for the product and for any dimension info.

It's a tough measure because of the buttons and levers. But if you include a fractional amount of space for those items in terms of housing anything, then it's 8.5" wide, 8 inches high, and 5.5" deep. These are not perfect measures, I must emphasize. The height include the throttle levers standing up at 90 degrees. If you take them off, the actual unit is only about 3.5" high.Hope this helps!JS

I call the CH products the poormans solution to getting close to the real thing, i have been using there yolk for years, and rudder peddals, and now for the last few months have been using the throttles, there product in my opinion is supurb, if cared for it will last for years , you cannot go wrong with them......................Robert......Hardcore Simmer

Unused levers are removable? (Like, if I'm flying a Cessna and only using 3 of the levers, I can pull the other 3 levers out to get them out of the way?) Or am I misunderstanding what you mean by taking them off?I know the black/red/blue ends are removable and interchangeable to suit different configurations for different aircraft, but when I'm not using all 6 levers, the unused ones tend to get in the way (if they're not full forward without any end pieces on).... :(

Sorry, not sure if they are actually removable! I guess you should just include the height of the quad plus the levers at 90 deg.JS

ALCOTTI KNOW IT WAS SARCASM.YOU MUST HAVE TYPED IN CHTHROTTLE IN THE SEARCH ENGINE TO FIND OUT HOW MANY THREADS THERE ARE.BUT YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR TWO CENTS IN.CAN'T LET SOMEONE JUST ANSWER. EVERY TIME YOU DO IT. THIS ISN'T THE 1ST TIME PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT YOU. STEVE

this is exactly what i'm saying.why should he trawl through 122 posts to maybe find his answer???no help at all.just sarcasm.you looked through the search engine to find out how many before posting.. steve

Three posts in the one thread - and not a single one of them of any use to the bloke asking the question. Why should he trawl through 122 posts? Because for all he or we know the questions may have been throughly covered before, including information never seen before or since. Until you look you don't know. Which is why you look.Allcott
