Help with Throttle problem. joystick

Featured Replies

HelloI have a saitek joystick with throtle-control I experience a problem that the planes keep moving while parking-brakes are set and the throtle idle. The movement verys between diff a/c I noticed that it makes a difference which plane was chosen.moves slow . but its anoyying pls help?

I also have a Saitek (X52) and I get the same thing. I have even tried pushing F1 as this should over-ride your throttle control until you move it again. I think it is something to do with MSFS, or, it's the fact that we are sitting there with our engines running when in real life, engines are not even started, except for one, until pushback. I am no real world pilot or virtual pilot, but I have been spending alot of time here in the forums in the past month, which is something I should have done back in 2002. Also, could you sign your real name at the end of your post, it would be nice to know who we are talking to, and it is a forum rule.

If you have an X45 that's a couple of years old you might be seeing faults in the cable between the throttle and stick units - I just had to solder a new end on mine to eliminate some spiking issues.

It seems to be an FS9 function - although I agree that it is also related to individual aircraft. Perhaps something to do with ground friction programming etc - if you shut down the engines, the movement usually stops.John Rooum

As long as the engine N1 is around 23% (assuming we are talking jets) there is no problem with your joystick/throttle.As you have observed the effect varies with different aircraft which implies the 'fault' lies within the aircraft parameters. If you are feeling brave you can try editing the aircraft.cfg file, after reading up about the different settings in there.Or just put up with the fact ;-)
