One more thing, I find landings smoother in 2D cockpit mode. VC in flight and on the ground. While I'm at it, try IFR flights in the King Air from and to Helena (KHLN), Lewiston (KLWT) and Bozeman (KBZN) in snowy conditions in Montana. Better than ... Well almost anyway.
February 11, 200719 yr Try unlocking your frames, I found, unlike FS2004 that you actually lose fps when you lock frames in FSX. Make sure you have your texture_bandwidth_mult set properly for your system, (In your case I would say something like 150) and the same for your FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION (Probably the default 0.33 maybe a little lower for performance Note the lower you go the faster the performance will be, but also the greater chance of seeing blurries, you'll have to play around to see what works for your system.) in your fsx.cfg file, to reduce blurries. (Make a backup of it first, in case you want to go back!! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
February 11, 200719 yr Currently have TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULTI at 120 and FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION at .33. Blurries creep in quickly on my machine, but I'll give ..._FRACTION at .25 a try. Many thanks.
