July 26, 200718 yr You mean the title bar that MS windows have?Uh, well you can simply dock the subpanel, and that will remove it. Then you can move the subpanel about at will. Essentially I think that is what you are wanting to do.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
July 26, 200718 yr Moderator True but the OP said remove it from the "undocked" panels. :(Visit the Virtual Pilot's Centerwww.flightadventures.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/ RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
July 26, 200718 yr Author Perhaps my phrasing wasn't too clear. I'm referring to the blue band on top of an undocked popup- displayed on a secondary monitor, not main monitor, hence must remain undocked.Still looking for a solution! Thanks anyway.Alex Reid

July 26, 200718 yr Author Rhett- not sure which sim you are using but on FS9, wnen I UNDOCK (not just "open") a panel OR popup(sub panel), there is a blue title bar attached to the top. Sort of spoils the appearance of a triple monitor flight deck when all popups are displayed simultaneously on #2 & 3 monitors. So the puzzle still is- How to delete the Blue Band!!Alex Reid
July 26, 200718 yr Have you tried going to full screen mode (Alt+Enter)? The Windows title bars go away then. R-
July 26, 200718 yr Author Unfortunately, Full Screen doesn't work with multi monitors. Thanks anyway. Wonder if there is anything in FS9 Config re Blue Bars?Alex Reid

I suppose if you edited the Windows display theme you are using to a tiny title bar, that might work...but isn't too practical. What I am saying in my earlier post to you, is I was asking you why you can't simply dock the window? That eliminates the title bar on it, and you can still move it around, resize, it, etc. I do not run multiple monitors...surely, with multiple monitors, you are able to dock them and still move them around. If not, that's no good!RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
July 27, 200718 yr >Unfortunately, Full Screen doesn't work with multi monitors.>Why not? Here is my FS9 B737 at KSEA.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/175803.jpgAnd here it is with a couple of pop-up panels enabled.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/175804.jpgI had a third monitor atop the 19" CRT for the overhead panel but it was attached to an ATI 9200 video card and the newer ATI drivers no longer support that card so I have removed it for the time being. I wanted to try the lastest drivers with FSX.I'll grant that some configurations work better in windowed mode and when that happens, I change the colors of the Windows title bar. I find a darkish gray background with a lighter gray text works well for the active window and I reverse those colors for inactive windows.R-
July 27, 200718 yr Author I'm running Triple Views- LFwd,Fwd,RFwd on the 3 monitors. In Full Screen, the cursor gets the jitters on monitors 2 & 3- makes it impossible to set up or use the secondary monitors. But it's an interesting approach and I'll do some experimenting. Have you tried multi VIEWS? Changing title bar colour also interesting. Thanks.Any ideas on eliminating cursor jitters on the secondary monitors?Alex Reid
July 27, 200718 yr Author Ron-Tried the dark grey colour trick on the title bar- big improvement! Thanks. I should have thought of that since I keep my desk top also dark grey so as to be unobtrusive around popups.Alex Reid
July 27, 200718 yr Author Finally settled on a med/dark grey title bar (both left/right edges) with medium green lettering- similar to Boeing 747 CDU display, and quite unobtrusive.Seems a not bad solution to the obnoxious blue bar!. Thanks again for the tip.Alex Reid
July 28, 200718 yr You're welcome Alex.>Have you tried multi VIEWS? . . .>Any ideas on eliminating cursor jitters on the secondary monitors? No, I only use one outside VIEW. I've always assumed that more VIEWS would be hard on frame rates. I have however seen the "cursor jitters." On occasion I've had subpanels which failed to display and caused this problem when I tried to enable them.It has been so long ago that I don't remember the particulars but I never found out why it happened. Sorry that I can't be more helpful.R-
