July 31, 200718 yr I am looking around to buy a new graphics card for FSX and have seen this one - Novatech GeForce 8800GTS 640MB HDCP Enabled Dual DVI PCI Express (500MHz Core Clock) (1600MHz Memory Clock) (1200MHz Shader Clock) - will this run the simulator OK - it eventually will support DirectX10. Any advice will be appreciated.
July 31, 200718 yr Conventional advice is that the 8800 640 is the best deal. The 768 model isn't worth the performance increase for the money, and the 320 isn't enough memory if you plan to run at 1600x1200 or higher.I have the 320 because I couldn't afford the 640, and it works well. So, you really need to save a few bucks you could go that route.Either way, any of these cards will give you close to the best performance you can expect with FSX.
July 31, 200718 yr In other games the 768mb GTX will blow the GTS away. In FSX it seems there is little to choose.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/175990.jpg Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD

July 31, 200718 yr EVGA would be my choice as well, they have a 90 step up program and a great warranty. Their prices are the best as well, it's a no brainer.
