September 7, 200718 yr >...and finds it a mixed bag at best.I think from the point of view of keeping your options open for future software, if 4 core can KEEP UP WITH 2 core NOW, then I'm for 4 core for a machine built today--for future compatibility we'll say.N Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. September 7, 200718 yr Yes, but 4 core can only keep up with 2 core in FSX when running at the same speed. The quad in this review costs a cool $1080 compared to the same speed dual at around $280. That's $800 extra just to keep up in FSX - no thanks!Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
September 7, 200718 yr Author This reviewer demonstrates the new "Medal Of Honor" using the Unreal 3 engine, clearly running on all 4 cores.Cool. Now I guess I'll install my Q6600 that has been sitting on my desk for two weeks!Cheers,bthttp://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showpost.p...08&postcount=67
