I can reformat and reinstall windows in no time now since I have done it some many times this month already.Any more adivse. Thanks all for helping me with this situation.regards,Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
November 30, 200718 yr You don't have a sound card - is that correct. You canget micro-stutter if you have the sound acceleration abovebasic (default is max). Ie sound get too much cpu time and stuttersthe graphics. Set sound acceleration to basic...From start - select "run" and type in dxdiag. Click the soundtab and set acceleration to basic.Tom
November 30, 200718 yr Author I do have an Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Value card.Ill try to lower to basic and see what happens.Thanks,Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
December 1, 200718 yr I've noticed sound acceleration is a huge drag on FS, as well. You might also try unlocking your frame rate. I get a much smoother sim with frames unlocked.EwingKATLAlcohol, Tobacco and Firearms should be a store, not a government agency.MSI K8N Neo2 PlatinumAMD Opteron 185 2.6 Ghz Dual Core2GB Kingston HyperX (2X1GB) Dual Channel DDR 2-3-2-6 @ 1TXFX nVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS 256MB DDR3 AGPSound Blaster Audigy LSSilverStone Decathlon 750W +12v@60A +5v@30AFS9 on WinXPPro (SP1)
December 1, 200718 yr I had same problem. One day I woke up and it stuttered like heck. I had no clue what I had done. Tried almost everything I could think of. Then after saying #####, I cleaned out my video drivers with a cleaner and installed the latest again. Volia, perfect. Back to no stuttering again. Sometimes in FS there is NO answer. Well, maybe there is if you want to spend the rest of your life on trying to figure out why stuff does what it does with this sim.The point is that some fixes work for some people and the same fix does not work for another. You're going to go crazy if you stick by that " I've done a complete reformat" yada yada yada stuff. Ok, great, you've done it and it didn't work. So start DOING something. Change video drivers, AGAIN, yes AGAIN, try a different video driver. How many have you tired? 1? 2? well, try about 5 different versions. Oh, BTW, while we're on vid drivers what are your settings? Do you know how many different combinations of video settings there are? Did you just install them and leave them default? Better start changing them around. Then change your audio drivers. yes change them again. Go ahead and try MB drivers. So what you just installed them. well update them, yes, AGAIN. Do you think you're going to screw something up? LOL You just re-formatted. My prediction, the chances of you finding out what the issue is about by trying to reason it out OR by looking for help here is about 10% and countless hours. The chances of you fixing it by actually doing something is about 90%. So stop reading this thread and go change something. If you think anyone here has the magic bullet, think again. If you do find the magic bullet to fix stutters, please , PLEASE point us all in that direction. Cause I've been reading these forums for years and have yet to see the thread locked that says " Definitive fix for stutters on ALL Fs installations". When somebody finds that, let us know. Good luck Jim.Reggie

December 1, 200718 yr Author True, but I get more blurries with the frames unlockedThanks,Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
December 1, 200718 yr Author Sorry, yes I did defrag after all the installs, however still no joy...what seems to happen is the sim runs a bit smoother with the resolution at a lower settings instead of my monitors optimum setting of 1400 X 1050. I was able to us it at 1400 X 1050 before the first reformat. Thanks,Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
December 2, 200718 yr I have tried using the sim with spybot and anti virus disabled, and even tried moving the priority of the sim from normal to high with no success.By any chance is your spybot spysweeper? If so, I had it, and had micro stutters even when it was disabled, the stutters went away only after I uninstalled it. Seems there is some kind of conflict with FSX! December 6, 200718 yr Author Well, I just recieved my Sapphire Radeon X1950 Pro 512MB AGP card and heopfully that will do the trick for the micro stutters. Wish me luck, Ill install it tommorrow. Thanks for all the tips folksBill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
December 7, 200718 yr wow. Did you even try changing drivers? It worked once didn't it? Hard to believe that the card itself is causing that. 99% of the time its a configuration issue. Pretty radical/expensive fix for an outdated technology. Unless the card was a gift. Tell us what driver version came WITH your new card, and sure you tell us the truth if it is fixed or not. LOLWhew...good luck.Ralph
December 7, 200718 yr Author LOL, yes its a Christmas gift from my wife, I haven't installed the card yet, but will let you know. I have tried several drivers for the 6800GT card including the latest onces with no joy. Fingers crossed this time. Thanks,Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
January 9, 200818 yr Author Well, with my newer system , Im still getting these minor microstutters again...the sim is more fluid, but the micro stutters are still anoying.Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
