Hi AllI am looking at buyinh the intel Q66700 cpu.Could somebody please tell me if the cpu cache makes any differenceto fsx,because I think there are 2 versions of the Q6670 offering either 4MB or 8MB cache.Qas

Every program uses CPU cache... this is not program specific and yes, generally, more cache memory = performance. Question is: at what price.

Q6600Q6700Both have the same CPU cache, only diff is stock speed via a different multipler.The Q6700 is somewhat easier to overclock as it has a higher mulitiper but lately the Q6600's are overclocking just as well.Really the luck of the draw.Overclocking either will give a much bigger boost than a larger CPU cache I'd think.
