January 3, 200818 yr I consider buying a yoke for use in FSX. As far as I know there are two possible alternatives: The CH Flight Sim Yoke USB and the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System. Before I even get into considering which is better, I would like to know if it is possible to attach the yokes to a circular table because my desk is shaped as a quarter circle. Now, assuming it IS possible, which do you prefer? What are they like? Are they of a good quality and so on...Thanks in advance for any advice.
January 6, 200818 yr I have the CH Products yoke and don't care for the sticky elevator control (plastic shaft and bushings). The Saitek yoke is advertised to have a s.s. shaft and precision bearings which should take care of that problem. The CH yoke won't mount to a round table edge without shimming with a 3/4" piece of wood, and the Saitek yoke one point clamp mounting style appears to be adaptable to the round table. Art
January 6, 200818 yr Commercial Member Hi!!Given that both yokes cost almost the same, the Saitek one seems to have more to offer than the CH model...BUT:Saitek yoke has experienced a problem where first run units had lots of hardware problems... it seems to be addressed by now...I'm looking to buy a Saitek one, but waiting a little (wait almost over anyway) to see if the problems clear away...newer SN yokes (Starting form SZ0051?) look to be fine so I'm just waiting for people to buy the old ones... :( http://www.mario.wspilots.com/signature_forum.gifhttp://www.mariopilot.6x.to

January 8, 200818 yr Look in the Saitek yoke review thread. That should answer your question. I LOVE my Saitek, and even though I went through 3 generations of CH yokes, I'll never go back. CH is way to "cheap" feeling now.
