It's a no brainer for the price...if you can find one. I grew tired of waiting for it so I went for the 6750 and O'Ced to 3GHz.>Hard Drive : 500G at 7200 RPM 16M>Many people suggest to have a HD for OS and another one for the sim for performance reasons.>Mother Board: S775 ASUS P5K-E WIFI-AP P35 PCIE>I trust Newegg reviews. It has 180+ reviews and a 4-star rating. The Gigabyte P35-DS3L has 800+ reviews and a 5-star rating. Take a look at that one to see if it fits your specific needs. March 18, 200818 yr If your going to use a Matrox Triple Head, you most definitely want the 8800GTX. You may also want to consider and ATI 3870X2.
March 18, 200818 yr Author Thank you very much, I looked at the ATI 3870 x2 but I was not sure .Appreciate your helpwalouigi
March 18, 200818 yr If you don't mind spending $600, you can buy the newly released GeForce 9800 GX2. I would ask about that though, and see if it's worth it.The performance of the card itself is 30% to 50% better than the 8800 Ultra. March 19, 200818 yr >The performance of the card itself is 30% to 50% better than>the 8800 Ultra.A FSX benchmark shows a FPS gain of only 2.4 frames between a 7800GTX and a 8800Ultra even at a very high resolution. I personally would not spend hundreds more for 2 frames.http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics_200...2=722&chart=293 JasonFAA CPL SEL MEL IR CFI-I MEI AGI
March 19, 200818 yr Author I can't find this card in Canada yet, already the 8800 GTX is hard to find, so I had to look for the ATI 3870 x2.However I looked at some comparison of the ATI 3870 x2 and the 8800GTS and it is not that big of a difference. FPS wise but for the $ it is huge.I think I will go for a bit less then the GTX the GTS can perhaps do the job.walouigi
March 19, 200818 yr Author I think $ wise the 8800 GTS is the best performance and value, I hope I can find it in Canada.Thanks[link:www.oncourse-software.co.uk]http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/forum_images/pfe_beta.jpg
March 19, 200818 yr *9800 GX2* and 8800 Ultra. The 9800 GX2 is about $200 cheaper than 8800 Ultra but gives only a few more FPS.http://www.tomshardware.com/2008/03/18/nvi...view/page6.html Regards, BoeingGuy ASUS P5E X38 | Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.2 GHz on 1600 MHz FSB (400x8) | 4 GB DDR2-800 RAM | EVGA GeForce 8800 GT Superclocked @ 679/979 | 320 GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 RPM HD
