April 5, 200818 yr My wife's PC picked up the Win32/Conhook.d trojan somehow.I've googled it but nothing seems to work, or isn't very specific as to how to get rid of it. SmitFraudFix This one you run in Safemode.By the way, did you get your rig fixed?Bob Bob i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.

April 5, 200818 yr Yes. A reformat gives you a clean slate. The computer will be just like the day you bought it. As you have read, alot of the guys here do that before a reinstall of FSX.good luckBob Bob i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.
May 25, 200818 yr I'm having a problem with this virus as well. Ever since I got it FS2004 will not work. At the beginning of loading the program I get the error...MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR HAS STOPPED WORKINGA problem caused the program to stop working correctly.Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available....problem is, I never get a solution. I've reinstalled FS9 but no luck with it working again. Since the conhook virus is effecting WIN32 and registry keys does anyone know if this is the culprit? I'm currently trying to get rid of this conhook mess.ThanksMarkus
