proper order of driver installation

Featured Replies

I have just purchased a new motherboard (ASUS M2N-MX SE Plus) to go with my Athlon 64 6400+ X2 (3200Ghz) CPU. After installing a fresh copy of Windows XP Home Edition, which order to I install me drivers? From what I understand, I need to install the motherboard drivers first (Nvidia nForce 430), then the videocard drivers (Nvidia 8800 GTS 320), and then the soundcard drivers (Creative Labs XiFi Xtreem Gamer)?Where do the CPU drivers come in?What happens if they are loaded out of order? Thanks in advance!RH

Heck, I just turn it on and respond to any prompts for driver installation. It's best to not have peripherals connected during the initial start-up. There is no CPU driver installation.ArtBiostar TF560-A2+, Athlon 64X2-6000+, 4GB RAM, Geforce 8800GTS-320MB, 500W PSU, 250GB HD, FSX(SP1-SP2), Audigy SE sound, Vista Home Premium 32 bit, CH Yoke & Pedals, 22" WS LCD monitor
