Lol, I was, of course, kidding. This plane is very good. Flies great (with the exception of the problem with the takeoff trim settings).ricardo

Can anyone tell me what the name of the offending sound file is and where to find it. I have ways of dealing with such sounds. I just can't deal with this sound going off that often. It drives me bats!

There is no sound file to edit - all sounds are compiled into the gauge.

Is a new gauge the only way to get rid of that sound? In the past I have just changed the name of the file or turned its volume all the way down. I quess that won't work here but that sound constantly gong off is like nails on the chalk board to me. I will have to fly my other planes until this is resolved. On the up side I made a fancy new paint job for it so at least I can look at on the ground.

Hello All, I agree totally that the transition from cold and dark to engines running should include NO aural alerts as to system status. It just doesn't seem right to me that normal conditions should give repeated alerts. That being said, I also feel that at the very least, there should be some faint "whooshing" sound coming from the cockpit as the packs/recirc fans come online. I wouldn't think that would be hard to model...just have it tied to the pack switch in the gauge. I understand that the T7 has an amazingly quiet cockpit during startup, but the silence I hear is deafening (well, save for the half dozen or so aural warnings that sound). Not having any sounds at all until the engines start however, reminds me that I'm simming and not flying. All of this being said, I also give many kudos to PSS for sticking with a project that had a few obvious flaws, even when the flaws weren't or aren't evident even to the developers. The good qualities of this T7 are really great. The negatives, although few, do however, detract from the overall experience. I enjoy flying this bird a great deal and look forward to any positive enhancements/fixes that PSS can make with upcoming updates. Thanks PSS, for listening to all of us!-adam
