February 23, 200521 yr Just wondered if there is a strategy for updates. Should we check the download link regularly to see if changes are being made? Many thanks Regards Howard H D Isaacs
February 25, 200521 yr I too am interested in this and I will try not to be too blunt.I am a little concerned about this too. I hope that there is enough interest in this product so it doesnt end up in a ditch somewhere.I only say this because if judging the activity in the forum is any indicator whatsoever of how much interest the product has generated then Im a little concerned. There does not seem to be too much going on here nor on other forums about VoxAtc. I dont really understand why. It is a really great product and my hopes are that the producers will continue enhancing the product.RegardsBob Ginn
February 25, 200521 yr Hi Bob and Howard,There should be an update just about a week or so away. I will try to keep readers on this forum aware of any update if it isn't already posted here. There are a lot of neat enhancements being worked on, the ones that work will be included in future updates. I noticed that before the official release of VoxATC a websearch only brought up a couple of hits, mostly from their site. Do a websearch now and you will find many more, even in different languages which I find curious since the program in only in english ;)Zane Dr Zane Gard Sr Staff Reviewer AVSIM Private Pilot ASEL since 1986 IFR 2010 AOPA 00915027 American Mensa 100314888
February 25, 200521 yr Hey, guys,I think Bob brings up a good point. This is such a ground breaking program, I, too, have wondered about the lack of forum activity. However, my perspective is that forums generally discuss problems, and maybe there are not so many "problems" with this, although I know of some improvements I'd like to see: Better radar vectoring, better voices, abbreviated read-backs, especially with clearance delivery. (I like the guys in live ATC who, after receiving lengthy instructions, simply say, "We'll do all that." An article in Computer Pilot might be helpful in spreading the word. I've told everyone I know about it!keith2W6
February 25, 200521 yr I can tell you that I was hesitant to go for this but after playing around with the trial version I got hooked and bought it (a little steep!). Now I don't fly without it.
February 25, 200521 yr Ditto that.As far as I am concerned this program adds a dimension to flight simming I have been waiting for years for. New enhancements can only make it better. Tom
February 26, 200521 yr Hey. We have activity. Nice to hear others out there. I have to tell you all something that I was hesitant to say earlier but I will say it now. My concern about whether or not the effort by the developers did not produce enough interest in the community (which directly equates to sales) was influenced somewhat by the VoxAtc cheezy looking website. Ok I said it. I just had to be honest. I think all of us are influenced someway or another by the product wrapper. Kindof like those commercials that say "And if you act now we will send you as a gift ...bla bla.. A $$ value for free". It really was the combination of the lack of forum activity and the cheezy looking website. Sorry VoxAtc but your not going to win any prizes on this one. But,Im am extremely appreciative that your time and money went into the product rather than the website.Have a great weekendRegardsBob G
