FA flashes and disappears?

Recommended Posts

Just becoming familiar with the software.I know this is in the FAQ, concerning slewing causing problems and suggesting loading cessna first. However, I thought that saving the PMDG as a cold & dark situation (after first loading the cessna as advised) would allow me to load the flight from the select flight screen with the PMDG already cold and dark. But as soon as the FA screen appears it disappears !! Surely it is not necessary to load the cessna EVERY time, this is such an annoying overhead. Can't something be done about this?Regards,Stuart Hyett

Hello Stuart,To ensure everything initializes properly, I strongly suggest against using any saved start up situation files.Loading the Cessna first only takes an extra 10 seconds.I'm sorry for any inconvenience it may cause you, but there's not much that can be done about that. Also, ensure you're not slewing on the ground in the vertical plane as that can will force FS2Crew into Thru Flight mode and cause issues for you.If you want to change positions at the airport, or go to another airport, I suggest you go there with the Cessna, and then load the PMDG.Hope that helps,Bryan
