FSX NDA lifted :)

Featured Replies

I've been avoiding Avsim and other FS forums for ages trying not to slip up and say more than we're supposed to (Even though I never read or signed any formal NDA - that was a little surprising). This announcement certainly caught me off guard and it's nice to be able to share with others 'certain' things.I agree, FSX will be great. To me it seems like a lot was added since FS9 even though some would disagree. Not least of which is the fact that it most likely will take advantage of whatever hardware we throw at it (something FS9 didn't quite do).It

Well now that we are free, I would just like to discuss the BEST features of FSX1) Shared Cockpits- Great fun, booth for training and for just flying around with someone to get a view of the area.2) The textures and Landclass are amazing. You can actually recognize mountains, lakes, rivers, and roads in every town.3) Missions- Really add a new touch to FS. Gives you something to do. You will find it very hard to complete EVERYTHING in FSX for several months to come.4) The Virtual Cockpit WILL BE the way to fly now. Since the VC was introduced, very few people really felt comfortable flying in it. Really only TrackerIR users got to take advantage of this. NOW that is not true. Many of you will find that in FSX you will much prefer the VC over the 2D panel. Its the only way I fly now.Overall: I can say that since I installed the Beta 3 I have not flown FS9 once. I am extremely pleased with the product. To watch the progress of the software on my screen was absolutly amazing. I can say for sure that everyone will find something they LOVE in FSX. I am sure that FSX will be a GAME that will set a new bar for all games! THANKS ACEShttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/155458.jpg

Well, just from reading what's posted here, plus what I knew already from playing the demo I'm sold, Mine's going on pre-order just as soon as I get home tonight. THEN I'm gonna look at what hardware is available for my new PC and see if I can get her down from circa
