April 27, 200620 yr Hello Bryan,I've got One question regarding the DA setting on the Altimeter and the ILS CAT I Approach.at VIAR Airport (Amristar), I'm doing an ILS CAT I on rwy 34. On the approach chart I read :DA 1050ftDH 299FTField elevation : 756ftDo I set 1050ft for the DA on the altimeter by moving the bug next to 50 ? How Do I set the 1000ft difference for an ILS CAT I ?For non precision approach I know I can add 1000ft for Minimum Decision Altitude but how to for an ILS CAT I approach ?Stephane Location : FMEE
April 27, 200620 yr I tried this at MMMX.That is 7316ft AMSL, by just moving the DA orange bug next the of 900 ft on the altimeter, FS2crew automatically picked up the fact that it way above MSL (probably from the ldg elev in the overhead)and the FO called decide at the correct point (7900ft).So I guess it works, somehow the program can read the Airport elev and correct for this automatically.Chris Regards, Chris Willis, CVHK Line Pilot http://hk.vatsea.net/cpa/
May 8, 200620 yr Commercial Member FS2Crew reads the FMC database entry for the arrival airport's elevation. Accordingly, you must have an arrival airport and runway selected in the FMS.Cheers,Bryan B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
