December 24, 200619 yr Would anyone care to share their experiences with this product with me?I am considering it, and have read the review. Just want another opinion. Thanks,Scott
December 24, 200619 yr I had MegaScenery PNW, and though it look good up high, I got tired of it because the low level textures are not that good. Load time for PNW, if the FS9 extended terrain option was on, could be looooooong.I found Ground Environment (which changes all textures everywhere), gave me a much better flight experience. Looks good at all altitudes and can be customized. Though it does lack the detailed mesh of MegaScenery. You could cover the whole US with Ground Environment + Ultimate Terrain USA + a 76meter mesh from Genesis mesh, with far superior graphics, for the price that Mega would charge for a small fraction of the area. ___________________________I'm just flying for the fun of it.
December 24, 200619 yr I have Mega Scenery New York and to be honest, I wouldn't miss it if it disappeared. Blurries, and long load times seem to be it's main problem, unless you are VFR flying in small aircraft at around 2500 feet.
December 24, 200619 yr Author Thanks guys. I have GE Pro, but saw DFW on sale and thought about it.Thanks again and Merry Christmas.Scott
December 25, 200619 yr Scott, if you are from Dallas, its a must have. Its fairly small area. You have Grand Prarie to the south and DFW in the middle and the end of Lake Lewisvill to the north and propotionally to the east and the west. Thats about it.IF you are not from the Dallas area, its not much. Also...there are hardly any addon airports for the DFW area. So that makes it even worse.I have it and I like it....cause I live around the DFW area.IF Megascenery comes with a high resolution DFW area for FSX. Now, that would be awesome. ;)Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
