European VATSIM Planning resources?

Featured Replies

Hi folks - This might not be on the correct forum, but I'm in need of some help. Usually, I fly in North America, so I use myairplane.com and simroutes.com However, I'm looking to start flying over in Europe on VATSIM and I'm trying to find out where I can get all the approach plates/airport diagrams and preferred routes for over there. Any suggestions?

I had the same question a while ago, watching.Dirk.

A good place to start would be here http://vateud.org/Then pick which country you wish to fly. Most of the sites will have info on charts and preferred routes.Cheers

I also forgot to add: http://www.vacc-sag.org/?PAGE=home Has most downloadable chart packs right on the site for those relevant countries. For France get them right from the horse's mouth at: http://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/default_uk.htmThe UK has a similar site which I can't remember right off.I also use: http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ for overseas routes, then double check the route using various resources or simply re-inpuut that route into www.simroutes.com (generate route-tab), the download and fs2004 flight plan so I can import it into active sky, and so on and so on.You can also check various other vatsim and ivao artcc/fir sites and their forums for hard to find charts and plates.Hope that helps. :-)

UK is http://www.ais.org.uk/ - the real NATS website. You need to register (free) and state a reason for registration (they accept FS) and then you'll have access to all UK charts as upto date as they could possibly be ...for free!Cheers,Paulhttp://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/temp/avsim.gifConcorde Training Captainwww.bavirtual.co.uk

Go to Eurocontrolhttp://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/publicuser/...ic/pu/login.jspRegister free and install latest Java software. Once logged ingo to the PAMS Light section and select country, etc. and you willhave access to up-to-date charts for most European countries.Regards
