August 30, 200718 yr Hi,That is a great machine for both FS04 and FSX. However, I am not sure it is worth a little over $2000 USD. I think you are paying for stuff that you will never use.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
August 30, 200718 yr That's a lot of horsepower. Guys walked on the moon with a lot less! I run FS9 really well with a Celeron 2.5 gig, 780 megs ram and a Radeon 9520 video card with good frame rates. The machine you linked to has Windows Vista, that may (or may not) be a compatability issue with FS9. I know it is a problem with Silent Hunter III. It also has only onboard sound, you may need a better soundcard. Only you can say if it's worth it, but it's definitely a high power system. If I'm not mistaken, a British pound is around $2.oo USD. I suspect you could get a similar system from a dealer here in the US for much less, even after shipping charges. Tiger Direct or Newegg might be worth a look. August 30, 200718 yr It's too bad you don't know anyone to biuld it for you. You could have spent a lot less.Dave F.
August 30, 200718 yr Buy the components from newegg, and if there is a local pc shop around your home, call and ask them for a quote to put the system together. :) Chase Barnett
