ENORMOUS lights in Heathrow 2008 on my system

Featured Replies

I just installed the Aerosoft Heathrow 2008 on my PC which runs Triplehead2Go with 3 LCDs at 3840x1024. The landing lights and taxiway lights are simply enormous and disgusting, massive great white, yellow and green phsophorescent thinggie that look like an explosion. I am wondering how to reduce the size and intensity of these lights.Prior to installation I'd long since installed Nick's light fixes and made many adjustments to the lights and scaling so that everything looked great under TH2G, especially the VASi, the approach lights, taxiways lights and runway side lights. But now with this Heathrow installation the approach and taxi lighting look hideous especially at night.Does anybody know how I might fix this in an otherwise fantastic scenery add-on?Thanks!JS

I believe that the size of the lights are built right into the .bgl file for your custom airport. I don't know if you can 'open' up a .bgl for the purpose of editing. You might want to contact the author who could possibly send you back a .bgl file with not so large ground lighting.A thought...Mitch

A suggestion: install Nick's lights again. Most probably his lights were replaced during install. Also see his readme on the fs9.cfg settingsRegards,Gerhard

If your download of Heathrow was the first version 1.00 get the 1.10 from Aerosoft. It came out a few days after 1.00 with according to the blurb fixed a number of items.See their web page. Just redownload their product and use your exisdting key as I understand.

Thanks. I actually installed 1.1 last night since that's what I bought.I reinstalled Nick's light fixes but it didn't do anything. All lights in the sim are normal except those at the new EGLL 2008 where they continue to burn like Guy Fawkes Night!I've written to author Thorsten for assistance as well.JS
