March 9, 200818 yr HiLook at these pictures made on my PMDG 737. The results is actually the same for all other addons I own.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/186225.jpgThe problem is that the colors do not match for all the pieces and the transition at dusk/dawn is not very good. Can someone tell me what is the FS9 parameter of file which impacts this? if there is...Thank you and regardsGhiom
March 10, 200818 yr Yes I see this sometimes too and just ignore it. I think it's an FS9 issue rather than a badly made VC. Regards, Max (YSSY) i7-12700K | Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB 3600MHz DDR4 | Gigabyte RTX4090 24Gb | Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4 | Corsair HX1200 PSU
March 10, 200818 yr Author Thanks for your reply. It just happens that my config i same as yours. And I fly with FS9 since.... it exists and don't remember noticing this (and being bothered) before. I thought it might be some environment texture for dusk/dawn blending...Very strange.Thank youGhiom
March 10, 200818 yr Perhaps you are seeing the "shadow" effect which I understand MS built into FS2004. Does the look of the cockpit change as you rotate the aircraft? You can keep it on the ground and just use the slew commands to rotate it - near a light source - and the VC will usually change to simulate a shadow one might see in real life. This has been a source of annoyance to many and I understood it was to be addressed in FSX.
March 11, 200818 yr I think it's FS9 dawn/dusk lighting issue that depicts half day half night panel textures sometimes in certain conditions.Your point David about the shadowing is another annoying feature whereby when you turn away from the sun the entire panel and gauges are so dark they're unreadble. March 11, 200818 yr Actually, this is a problem with the PMDG VC but was never fixed. No other aircraft (that I know of) has this same issue. The gauges turn to the night lighting effect before the rest of the VC panel does. Eventually the rest of the panel will catch up to it. It IS a problem with the design.Regards,Mike T.
