FS9... Help with High End Blurries Please.....

Featured Replies

Hi,I have the same card and the same problem.Inside views I see blurry ground, out side view it getting sharper.still no solution there ?Anyone ?

I've tried all the tweaks....using an Nvidia 7800GT....tried nhancerwhich seemed to help but I really don't think it isn't a driver problem as both ATI and Nvidia users suffer the blurries. The best solution I found was when I read a post stating the blurries are related to a bad texture. More specifically a clash of texture compression types, missing mips, rogue texture maps from Gmax boolean cuts, etc.I only get the blurries at one location (now anyways) and it was a B-52 base I was building for a buddy and myself to use. Everything was going great then one day massive blurries. I could barely move an aircraft without the ground textures going completely blurry on me.After reading that post I started removing scenery objects. Sure enough at one point the blurries stopped. I've tried using other people's freeware objects but eventually the blurries return.I've even tried using BMPdxt to open textures and resave them just to make sure mips are ON and they all have a common compression (DXT1).Just one last point though...I notice there are TWO types of blurries discussed. The blurries in the medium distance....let's say 3-5 miles in front of you and the massive right under you blurries which I suffer from.CK

Are you using the B-52 bomber package from Yaetsu Yoshimitsu as AI? If so, those models are frame rate killers, and equipment with enough bombs, they do major damage to texture load, causing blurries. :)Lee

I also used to use the 5% overclock on this Asus motherboard.I "seemed" to have less blurries trouble. Maybe I'll try it again.CK

I know how you feel about your Flight sim. You want it to be the best that it can be. There is one man that I know that can get it the best it can be. I have used him twice before and I also have a new rig and I'm getting ready to use him again. His name is Michael Greenblatt. His email address is: [email protected] The last time I used him his fee was $100 for the session , BUT you only pay him AFTER his 3 hour tweek session and you are 100 % satisfied. Yes that was correct. It takes THREE hours for him to completey tweek you COMPUTER and your Flight Sim. He does it a couple of differant ways; I did my tweek via the telephone. My new rig was $5000. Whats $100 more to get it the BEST that it can be. I know that 98 % of you will NOT use his services and you will spend the next three YEARS trying to get your system like you really want it to be. The other 2% will use him and have the Flight Sim of your dreams. jerrycwo4
