  1. I will join the chorus.....Thank You VERY much, Rob!!! Ken
  2. P3D and FSX both seemed to benefit greatly from clock speeds over 4.0ghz. I find mild overclocks from 4.1ghz to 4.30ghz help P3D and don't cause problems with other software I run. K
  3. This is free....works great. http://www.scruffyduck.org/airport-design-editor/4584106799 If you mean build your own scenery objects....that's a whole different ballgame with a steep learning curve. But it's been GMax for most people although I understand Blender objects can be converted now. CK
  4. As I understand it all those V2 paint jobs work on the V3.....there are a LOT of them!! K
  5. How long have the EMT forums been down? I also see the Developer version can't be accessed from the download page.....how long has it been like this? CK
  6. No regrets at all. As a matter of fact I have FSX on a WD Raptor drive....I am thinking of formatting the drive as I can't remember the last time I ran FSX. CK
  7. +1 So true Vic! P3D 3.3 would have been FS2025 at the rate MS worked!!! CK

I will wait until Black Friday.....by then bugs will be fixed (most) and the price will be MUCH better. CK
  9. I used GWX Control Panel on my P3D box.....it will stay Win7 until hell freezes over. I have Win10 on 2 laptops....it's ok. I turned off all the "spyware" and there are apps to shut down the telemetry to the mothership. :-) CK
  10. SETTING button on Main page. YES!!!!! FaxCap
  11. I bought the AH B-17 and quite like it but what has impressed me the most is AH's support. It's about 2 months after release and we are up to version 1.2. Bug fixes and improvements. I like that in a developer. FaxCap
  12. Please, Erich....you aren't playing the game!!! FaxCap
  13. New FSUIPC (4.944) released.....Could this be it??? Are we minutes away??? FaxCap
  14. Ok.....I am officially overwhelmed with info! I am starting to get a handle on things....finding budget TVs with good rating/price ratios. Thank you Ken
  15. You guys have given me a TON of info to keep in mind!! Thanks Ken
  16. Ok guys....thanks for the input....you've given me a lot of info to work with. Another question....I keep reading about HDMI "lag" and to use the DVI Input if a TV has them. Many of the TV manuals mention connecting a computer to your TV but those without DVI inputs say to use a DVI to HDMI cable. Will that still cause a lag or is the lag a product of the computer output?? Not that many TVs with DVI inputs on the market. Thanks again! Ken
  17. I asked in the hardware>monitor section but got zero replies. A question about TVs as a P3D monitor. I take it modern LED TVs have a "fast enough" response time for sim display? I'm a retired guy so a $1500 TV is out of the question for gaming. But after saying that I see some brand name 32" to 40" TVs at great sale prices. What specs on a TV am I looking for as a P3D monitor? Right now I am using a nVidia 680 but am looking at a 970. Thanks Ken

  19. Most ATMs ran IBM's OS/2 for years and years. FaxCap
  20. Shouldn't you be asking here??? http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/forums/airport-design-editor.95/ Ken
  21. My point was at 30+ mill a pop the visuals outside the cockpit were VERY basic. It's all about realism and these guys do hand fly these aircraft often. I just watched a video of a KLM 747-400F being hand flown and landed by the co-pilot. He was using visual points making his turns. If your points stood then 787 sims would still have FS2000 visuals. They don't....they are much more real now.
  22. Funny you should mention that....I was in the 767-200ER SIM at CYVR.....the graphics were about FS200 level. I remember thinking my FSX graphics are much better than this. FaxCap
  23. I had forgotten how good those videos are!!! Well done, Sir!!! FaxCap
  24. I am finished with FSX......I will never use it again.....when I finally get my buddy to buy P3D I will remove FSX from my system. Your hardware will run P3D easily. FaxCap
  25. I would also like to back EVGA! Back their warranty better than anyone. Great to deal with. As for overclocking, I have a 3770K. I started out running it at 4.6ghz but had a few crashes. Backed it off to around 4.75ghz and it's stable as a rock. FaxCap
