  1. Hi All, Love the GTN 650 I purchased. I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a tutorial or resources that would show me how to replace the stock GNS 430 in the Airfoil Labs C172 with the GTN 650. I have followed the manual, which allowed me to get the GTN 650 display into the body of the GNS 430. It is functional, but does not look realistic and is a little bit small. I have read through many posts on this forum, including the "Official Panel Configuration Mods" thread and people there have done fantastic work. If anyone that has made a 3D Panel wants to direct me, that would be great. Thanks!
  2. Hello, I hope everyone had a fantastic New Years Eve! :) My issue is appearing after I create a new camera view inside Chaseplane. When I right-click on the new view and choose "Assign Button", the button assignment window opens, and the application prompts me to press the button I want to assign to the specific view. No mater what button I press on the keyboard or joystick Chaseplane does not register that I have pressed any key. I have tried: 1. Running Chaseplane, and ChasePlane_Bridge as Admin 2. Running P3D As Admin 2. Re-Installing Chaseplane (Including deleting all folders in %appdata% (Cache) 4. Restarted Computer and Simulator 5. Tried Switching to the Experimental Build and Back to standard. I also checked for a log file, the only one i found was located in the %appdata% area and was related to a crash, modified days ago. If you have any advice or tips thanks in advance for sharing.
  3. Yeah. Same for FSX and P3D. Unfortunately I will have to wait for my GTX 1070 until Christmas when they are back in stock, and at standard price in the Canadian market. Thanks for your help guys
  4. Yeah. But that is 30-45fps with no groud textures at all lol. Just a flat airstrip with no buildings XD
  5. Hello I am getting really bad Frames in Xplane Steam. Specs: i7-4790k @4.0Ghz AMD R9 290 X-plane is on a HDD https://thomaskal.gyazo.com/a350cf598850cd8aac9ea97a61d5e6a4 Every setting is on almost the lowest, and sitting in the VC of a Jar-Design's A320 I get 30-45fps. Is there anything I can do besides overclocking my processor to change this. I have watched videos on YouTube of people with i7-4790k's @ 4.4Ghz Does .4Ghz really make that much of a difference in FPS?
  6. I will defiantly try that. The more processing power going to the CPU the better. Thanks
  7. I have a R9 290 (not X) also. I guess what I am looking for is another "addon heavy simmer" that has the same CPU as me, no overclock
  8. Yeah. I know a FS Youtuber had a i7-4790k overclocked a little (like .5Ghz) and a GTX 780Ti and was getting well over 40fps with tons of 3rd party addons. Which is what I hope to achieve.
  9. Right. Thanks for the help guys. I have heard AMD cards are terrible when it comes to FSX and P3D. Thats why I was wondering.
  10. Hello. Very sorry if this is in the wrong place (Ill do better next time), I want to know if I should upgrade from a AMD R9 290 (not x) to a GTX 1070 for Flight sim (FSX:SE and Primary P3D) I have an i7-4790k @ 4.0Ghz stock. Will this upgrade bring more performance to my sim. Someone over on the P3D forums recommended to another user to re size the window of FSX and see if the frame rate goes up. It didn't. I'm not sure if this is because of the AMD card or my CPU bottlenecking. I don't think its being bottlenecked, but I know the AMD card doesn't help. I am currently getting about 17-25FPS in the PMDG 737 NGX at KJFK, Thanks for the reply's in advance

  12. This is a very annoying issue. Its not just you but I think it happens when you click on another window and FSX becomes "unfocused". I would try running Ezdok as an Administrator. Apart from that, restarting Ezdok seems to be the best option. (I recommend pinning it to your taskbar) I don't know what ellse can be done for this issue. Hope this helps a little. -Thomas
  13. Thank you all for your suggestions, I will definitely do more research into the EVGA 970 and I might think about overclocking my 4790k when the warranty on this PC runs out. (I bought it from cyberpower)
