Checking controls and VNAV

Featured Replies

Hi Bryan,When te PNF is checking the controls i only hear him say "centre" the controls are not moving either. The manual says that you have the choice to select heading select with the green button and vnav with the red button after takeoff.heading select works fine but when i press the red button just after 400 feet noting happens?Am i missing something?thanks JAR

Hi JAR,Controls: FS2Crew will attempt to to move the control column (to simulate the FO testing the controls). However, if your joystick is emitting 'noise' or if it moves slightly it will override FS2Crew's attempt to manipulate the control column.Try increasing the null zone on your yoke to reduce the likelihood of this interference from happening.Red Button is for LNAV after 400 feet: If nothing is happening it is likely that the FMC is not configured properly to accept LNAV so LNAV would not engage anyway. The test is to try engaging LNAV manually. Cheers,Bryan
