Anyone doing a repaint for the RealAir C-172?

Featured Replies

Love the plane, paintjob is a bit much...;(8

Any repaint that works with the default 172 will work with it, they use the same .mdl file.Kurt M

Speaking of repaints, there are tons of good repaints for all of the big guys flying out there, anybody know of some nice Cessna repaints for us guys that prefer to fly GA stuff and where to download them?

>Love the plane, paintjob is a bit much...;(8 What do you mean by that? -- because of the purple paint or because of the inverted lettering on one side of the aircraft. It is obvious that the default C172 model cannot be used for any paint scheme that uses lettering. Other than that, I like the purple!! :)Barry

;-) The prize for the ugliest paint scheme I've ever seen goes to the red and blue Cessna 172 that comes with Emma Field. I love everything about Emma, but that Skyhawk is just a pain in the...eyes.

Pardon my ignorance of the whole repaint culture. How would I apply one of the stock external models to the new flight model and VC panel?

Rob,I think that TAFE scheme looks lovely on the SF260 by the way!RegardsTim

Sorry John, I was referring to the 'Emma Field Sky Jumpers' livery throughout, not the Kangan paint scheme. Although I do not particularly like the Kangan paint scheme, I do not think it's ugly.

The RealAir Cessna 172S flight model is awesome. I love doing no flap, forward slips to landing. The new livery was a nice addition to an already superb package....a free one at that!!That said, I echo some of the comments here. I wish that someone, with the talent, would tackle doing some updated Skyhawk liveries. There have been about three different liveries for the Skyhawk SP since its introduction (including the new 2003 paint scheme).Just imagine coupling RealAir's flight model to some of the authentic Cessna liveries and well...there you have it....as close to real as you're gonna get (for now).... If nothing else, perhaps Microsoft will include true Skyhawk SP liveries for FS2004 (instead of putting a "regular" C172R paint scheme on a C172S airplane).
