Where To Purchase Older Pc Components?

Featured Replies

I build my own rigs and have an older (but still useable) case and PSU around, plus an NV 7950 video card and matched 2X 1GB DDR2 RAM sticks. I have utilized the older mobo/CPU that was originally installed for parts for other friends' PC's.I would like to build a PC that is essentually a spare unit, plus which could run relatively low-resource FS applications such as RC and AS. I don't wish to spend a lot on this, and am wondering where I could acquire an older mobo/CPU. Most places I go to on-line have the greatest and newest stuff, which would be fine if I wanted to upgrade right now but I don't. Is there a "boneyard" store available thats sells "non state of the art" hardware?Thanks- an unusual request I know :)Bruce.

Ebay is alwaya good source of used older hardware - just make sure you read the descriptions carefully and look at the sellers reputation before bidding.
