Md-11: How To Get A System (like Fuel) Into Automode Again

Featured Replies

Somehow I managed to automatically set the fuel system to auto. I noticed I forgot to load the right amount of fuel, so I did it using the PMDG menu and then suddenly the fuel system was on manual. But... how can I get it back to AUTO? Pressing the button doesn't do it: that only activate SELECT... and pressing it again leaves manual in amber... There must be a way to get it back to AUTO, but the manual (by that I mean the pdf...) doesn't tell me how. It does say the switch is used to select manual and automodes, but it seems it only selects manual...?

Pressing the select switch should move the system between auto and manual control... something else may be wrong or interfering. Could you post a shot of your overhead and your main panel when this happens?

Every cigarette takes 17 minutes off your life, every slice of bacon takes 9 minutes off your life. If you smoke and eat bacon fast enough, you can go back in time.

You might have pumps on with lo press alarms? Turn those pumps off and she will go back to auto.

The next time it happens I'll make a screenshot. ;)There were no lights on at all: the OH looked perfect. There only was that amber manual light on the fuel panel... All worked well too: I landed without problems, but I had that amber manual on all the time and also the SD kept showing me an amber 'fuel' message... Pressing the button only switched between 'manual' and 'select manual' (select on top, manual underneath it). But well, everything worked anyway, so...

"Select Manual" usually indicates that non of the auto channels are working and that you must select manual. Why do you get this? im not sure could be a couple of things, but next time it happens post a screenie
