My understanding is that CI wasn't implemented when the 600/700 was released but was for the 800/900 which also updated this for the 600/700.Iain Smith
That's correct, if you have the 600/700 and the 800/900. Or, probably the 800/900 stand alone product, then cost index is, in fact, modeled in the FMC.

It will affect your CLB speed, CRZ altitude, CRZ speed and DES speed (thus your TOD), quite a bunch of things. :( :( Personally, I like to play around with the cost index and the loads, it's possible to get different flight configurations this way.Regards

No problem Bruno, :( I don't think it's in the manual, play around with the Cost Index, you will see that those figures change, not slightly, there will be significant differences.Happy landings
